College

This portfolio class is for the High School student entering into a College or Fine Art School for the visual arts.  This class is meant to augment the working habits of a High School art curriculum helping the student gain a deeper understanding of their work and the expectations of Art School as well as the art world.  In this class, focus is geared to each students own unique way of seeing and the development of individual style.  All Art Schools have their own criteria for their portfolios so a student’s portfolio will be adjusted to meet those demands.  A development of breadth and identification of concentration will be a main focus in these classes.  Another important aspect of this portfolio class is learning how to critique, not only their own work but the work of others as well.  Developing this skill creates a solid foundation for their entire artistic career.
